Sandwich panels (PU foam injection)
OSV industrial lines for the production of sandwich panels with polyurethane foam (PUR or PIR) filler implement the so-called bench or discontinuous method of making a “sandwich”.
OSV lines for the production of sandwich panels filled with polyurethane foam (PUR or PIR) are built on the basis of OSV L and H series injection machines, which allow dispensing from 60 to 300 litres of liquid PU foam per minute. Such a high performance is necessary in order to fill in a few seconds with liquid polyurethane foam all the space between the facing planes of future sandwich panels, the length of which sometimes reaches 12.5 meters.
The second important component of OSV lines for the production of sandwich panels with PU foam is specially designed hydraulic presses that ensure accurate positioning of facing materials, reliable fixation of the blanks during foaming and solidification, thermal stabilization and correct sandwich geometry.
The OSV line for the production of PU foam sandwich panels usually includes a mixing and dosing unit for PU foam filling and a hydraulic press. Depending on the client’s requirements, the line can be designed for the production of sandwich panels of various dimensions — up to 12.5 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and up to 22 cm thick!
