Hot-curing polyurethane elastomers is a special kind of elastic polyurethanes, developed for manufacturing of the parts of high wear and tear resistance. The main features of such materials are:

• chemical resistance
• wide range of hardness — from 45° to 95° Shore А
The most poplar applications of these materials are:
• mining industry – screen meshes, hydrocyclones
• lining of shafts, rollers coating
• automotive parts — bushes, springs, etc.
• cuffs, grease retainers, gaskets and seals of industrial equipment
Processing of hot-curing PU elastomers is completely different from the recycling of "cold" polyurethane elastomers. The point is that hot-curing PU elastomers have to be heated up to 60-120*C (depending on manufacturer's recommendations), mixed at the same temperature and casted in the mould at the temperature no lower than 80*C. After casting in the mould and components curing, the products should be located in the heated cabinet at the period from 10 to 24 hours at the temperature no lower than 80*C. Only after this operation, the product achieves high rates.
Such material requires a certain skill and special equipment. But it is worth it — hot-curing elastomers is state-of-the-art solution, when we need an exclusive wear and tear resistance.
